Jeg kjøper så lite plastprodukter som mulig også når det gjelder andre ting. Eksempelvis lamper – dersom disse har plast i seg vil plasten fordampe og vi puster det i oss. Ofte har lamper en lysdiffuser, det vil si en plate under pæren, som fordeler lyset og gjør det mykere. Denne er ofte laget i plast, og slike lamper unngår jeg. Mye bedre med en lampe av tre eller metall.
Moralen for meg i denne IKEA historien er en påminnelse om at man ikke alltid kan stole på merkingen på plastprodukter. Spesielt når de kommer fra land som India og Kina, der mye er uoversiktlig.
